法伊阿本德老了，有一次生重病進醫院。醫生(當然也是科學家)說：
法伊阿本德教授，你的病嚴重(serious)，但不到病危(critica回l)的程度。
法伊阿本德哼哼哼哼哼哼不以為然地說：我這一輩子都在批判(critical)，但從來不認真(serious)。
